Spring 2016

Utilizing biodegradable materials, this stool is made out of 100% cotton rag paper sheets and incorporates wheat paste as the adhesive in between the laminations. The white and black layers emphasize the connection and convergence of the individual parts. The stool features a series of half-lap joints located in the top to secure the legs together. Additionally, a slight kink in the legs prevents torque that may be caused by the movement of a user.

This stool is part of a collection of biodegradable objects as a reaction to "fast" furniture, or furniture that is made quickly and cheaply and often loaded with detrimental chemicals.
